National Geographic: Riddle of Lost Inca Gold

"Lost Inca Gold - Ransom, Riches and Riddles" is a great National Geographic article covering many of the legends, theories and concepts found in my second novel, The Lost Ark of the Incas".

National Geographic examines various efforts to recover the Inca gold that was lost after Pizarro invaded Cuzco in the year 1532.

If lost Inca gold is an interesting topic to you, read the National Geographic article here.

If you want to read an exciting novel with these concepts, read: "The Lost Ark of the Incas", part of The Martin Culver Series, available on Kindle and in print.

Repatriation of Antiquities in the News!

John Robert Chartwell, lead archaeologist for the International Antiquities Foundation, would like this article.

Turkey has appealed to the European court system to resolve its claim to Turkish antiquities in the possession of the British. Apparently at stake are the remnants of one of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World. Read more about this interesting case here.

To read more about John Robert Chartwell, the lead archaeologist for the International Antiquities Foundation, go to "The Lost Ark of the Incas" or "The Lost Calendar of the Maya". As part of the IAF team, Chartwell travels the world assisting in the restoration of antiquities to their rightful owner countries.

John Robert Chartwell is one of the main characters in The Martin Culver Series of action adventure novels written by Malcom Massey. You can write to the author at:  malcommassey(at)hotmail.com.

Popular "Lost Ark" Character Quotes: John Robert Chartwell

"The Lost Ark of the Incas" introduces several new and very interesting characters into the Martin Culver Series of action adventure novels.

One of the most popular new characters is turning out to be archaeologist and rogue adventurer John Robert Chartwell, whose irreverent and somewhat irritating conversational style is leaving a trail of popular quotes across the pages.

Here are a few of Chartwell's more popular quotes:

~"John Robert Chartwell, at your service. I dabble in archaeology."
~"I'm not interested in dealing with rank amateurs. Certainly been there before and done that. And I'm not interested in doing that again."

~"The Amazon is a tough place to be lost. Friend of yours?"

~"Even I know one has to have faith to believe."

~"So unless I am wrong, you have done your homework and I'm the best option."

See if you can find more Chartwell quotes in the pages of "The Lost Ark of the Incas", and post a comment with your favorite. (And watch for Chartwell to reappear in the newest novel in the series, "The Lost Calendar of the Maya" due to be published by the end of March, 2012)

The Lost Ark as Romantic Novel? - 25% Discount for February!

The last term I would use to describe "The Lost Ark of the Incas" is romantic novel. But based on an online exchange with a reader of the Martin Culver Series, pointed out something about this novel,. It seems very appropriate that the romantic sub-plot in this story was noticed on Valentine's Day.

This reader informed me that she finished reading "The Lost Ark of the Incas" and is ready for "The Lost Calendar of the Maya" to be published in the Martin Culver Series, due to hit virtual bookshelves by March 2012.

Shirley, our insightful reader, was pleasantly surprised that a male character in "The Lost Ark of the Incas" got married, a character known as something of a rogue and a wanderer.  But Shirley, he just had not met the right woman! In a whirlwind romance, these two characters fall in love, almost lose each other, and get married, defying the odds, dangerous criminals & the harsh, primitive conditions of the Peruvian Amazon.

In honor of Shirley's insight in pointing out the romantic side of this novel, "The Lost Ark of the Incas" will be on sale for the rest of the month of February on Kindle and Nook for 25% off of the regular price.

If you like an adventure novel that moves fast, has tons of action and international intrigue, AND has characters who meet and fall in hopelessly in love, you should buy "The Lost Ark of the Incas".
